Travertine

A natural stone from the Limestone family, can, over time, transform into Marble. Made of calcium carbonate and usually found near warm or hot springs, it was frequently used in ancient times as a building material. Today, travertine is most commonly used for flooring, shower and tub surrounds as well as in exterior decor. All-travertine bathrooms make for a gorgeous, earthy and flowing aesthetic. Aside from the obvious beauty that emanates from earthy tones, creamy tan and grey to reddish brown, durability over marble is one of the elements that lead people to choose Travertine.
